Professional qualifications and experience:
Essential


    Degree and/ Diploma in Vocational training or QTS certification with particular experience in motor vehicle mechanics.
    Have at least two years experience in vocational training
    Experience in repair and maintenance of both light and heavy vehicles with use of diagnostic digital system to detect faults.

Role overview
When you have a passion of sharing your knowledge in teaching as well as carpentry and construction in an international setting, this is your job! With your contribution, the level of education in this area of Tanzania can be brought to a higher level. In this role, you will work collaboratively with carpentry teachers within VETA (the Vocational Education and Training Authority) in Lindi and occasionally travel to Mtwara. The purpose of this role is to improve the standards of carpentry education and workshops to meet IVQ (International Vocational Quality) standards. She or he will also support other advisors within the project to work together as a team to deliver the objectives of the project. Moreover, she or he will dedicate time to help and instruct teachers. The purpose of these instructions is to achieve that teachers learn more on how to maintain tools, link carpentry and construction as well as designs of different structures.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
Qualifications (essential):

Degree and/or Advance Diploma in Vocational training or QTS certification or the equivalent with particular experience in carpentry and construction or building , drawing, and mathematics

Experience

    Experience of three or more years in teaching methodology from vocational training facility or related institution is highly recommended for this position
    Have at least two years of experience in the practical vocational training.
     Experience in installing, repair and maintain carpentry systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, institutional, industrial or public buildings.
    Experience in management of information systems.
    Experience in reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of carpentry systems.

Knowledge
It is vital that the Adviser in this role has proficient understanding of:

    Water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial and/or industrial buildings;
    Relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures of installation and maintenance;
    African economic, cultural and political environment;
    Machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.

Skills
    Vocational training, preferably specialised in carpentry and pipe fitting;
    Facilitation and negotiation skills;
     Literacy and ability to effectively use Office software and modern communication tools (Internet, LAN, email and related software;
    Confident in training, communication and presentation, also competent in coaching others.

Allowance and accommodation
All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home.

VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which means accommodation varies and will be basic.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

b)    Responsible in restoring the system in the shortest possible time during system/plant fault outgoes in order to minimize outages.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a)    To assist in preparation, implementation and control of approved budget to ensure there is compliance to company financial regulations and accounting instructions;
b)    To prepare, process and maintain all records of collections and payments as per financial regulation and accounting instruction to ensure availability and accessibility of information;
c)    To prepare Cheque payment vouchers and petty cash payment vouchers, to write cheques and make all approved payments in accordance to the company’s accounting instructions;
d)    To prepare weekly imprest statement band petty cash statement and submit for reimbursement for records keeping purpose and ease of making management decisions;
e)    To prepare CRN, DRN, JVS and any other adjustments to ensure that all errors committed are removed;

Driving company vehicles, and carry out other vehicles operation as instructed by procurement and transport officer in support of the company’s business operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a)    To drive company vehicles to support various business operations of the region.
b)    Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records for proper management of vehicle and management decision;

To ensure our Dispensary of Hale is well equipped with all laboratory facilities that are reagents and other working tools. Be responsible on general laboratory activities on day to day running and modernization of the medical laboratory activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a)    Responsible for general activities of medical laboratory at Hale Dispensary.
b)    To plan, budget and control laboratory in terms of laboratory equipments and supplies.
c)    To provide professional laboratory care and coordinate all laboratory services within the Plant and give advice whenever needed.

Mechanics and Electric Engineer

Description

Be responsible for installation and operation of mechanical & electrical system at the Branch; and guide District Centers to implements
Manage and update accurately to database on mechanical & electrical system at the whole Branch: Battery, regulator, power systems, and generators ... for each station through electromechanical data management software
Receive directions, and periodic and extraordinary reports on mechanical and electrical work in Viettel Branch. Guide clusters of team to perform.
Identify problems associated with mechanical and electrical systems at stations, total stations ... in Viettel Branch.
Recommend testing, construction, solutions to improve quality of mechanical and electrical systems in the whole province; solutions for saving energy and increasing work performance.
Design and manage electrical systems in office building of the Branch and team offices in order to ensure safety and energy saving.
Monitor, direct, check, and supervise the construction and development of network infrastructure of partners to ensure the quality and progress of telecommunications work
Make as-built documents, payment and settlement of telecommunications work
To support technical staffs in branches to solve all technical problems like generator break down, electrical problem.
Understanding ME knowledge and training to all technical staffs in branch.
Ensure good cooperation with branches to solve problem in order to improve quality of ME systems.

Electrical Technician cum Operator

Qualification:


• Applicant should be a holder of Grade II Level ill 1 FTC 1 Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Key skills & Abilities: Ability to maintain all the electrical equipment to acceptable and approved standards for efficient operation, and to ensure the smooth running of the Line and Service equipment by close communication with other staff
• Ability to operate the machines as directed and to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently as required and kept clean as required.
• Ability to ensure the correct electrical functioning of all electrically operated machines on the premises.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Self-motivated and flexible person and a good team player

Experience: One year or above in Mechanical/Electrical field
