1. Assistant Aircraft Marshallers (6): Post Number (KADCO/01/2018/AAM)


• Key Responsibilities
 To provide technical information concerning aircrafts parking to airline operators and Air Traffic Controllers.
 Directing Pilots where to park aircraft on the apron,
 Assist in inspection and ensuring cleanliness of the apron area;
 Assist in enforcement of safety and security procedures on the aprons
 Make sure VIP aircrafts are parked in the required manner.


• Qualifications
 Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education with two principal passes in any subject, two of which should be English, Mathematics, Geography or Physics who have attained their certificate between 2016 and 2017.

 Providing screening services to departing passengers, baggage, mail and cargo.

 Implementing preventive maintenance as per schedules/ program
 Monitoring repair works.
 Checking on daily basis of all airport equipment and facilities such as AGL, pavements so as to determine need for service or maintenance.

 Liaising with other stake holders interested in making alterations to existing structure and report to the supervisor.

• Qualifications
 Diploma/Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution

• Key Responsibilities
 Ensuring preventive maintenance services in electrical engineering plants and facilities at KIA and its estate in accordance to professional and ICAO safety standards.

 Ensure consistent implementation of Safety Management System and proper records and documentation are kept

• Key Responsibilities

• Qualifications

 Certificate of Secondary Education with pass in any of the four Science subjects i.e. Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics.

 Driving cars, trucks as well as tractors;
 Maintaining vehicle logbooks;

 Reporting accidents as soon as practicable to the supervisor and where necessary to the police station.
 Report to the supervisor on the conditions of vehicle and road worthiness.

• Qualifications
 Certificate of Secondary Education with pass in English.
 Clean driving license class C1,C2,C3, C in the new licensing system
 Certificate in Motor vehicle Mechanics ‘Trade Test’ Grade III or its equivalent from the National Institute of Transport will be an added advantage.

• Key Responsibilities
 Administering Data base and network,

 Designing and maintenance of security equipment/systems i.e X-Ray machines walk through metal detectors and CCTV system.

• Qualifications:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for administration of Water Treatment Plant (WTP). Test and analyze water, and all other related samples to determine the physical, chemical and bacteriologic components to comply for Heat recovery steam generators (HRSG)/boilers use.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Responsible for performing / evaluating water analysis tests and determine the proper water treatment required for efficient Heat recovery steam generator/boiler operation
b) Responsible for management of plant waste water treatment system
c) Ensure that equipment works to its specification and appropriate capacities that meets Environmental compliance standards.
d) Responsible for operation and maintenance of water treatment plant equipment i.e. chemical dosing pumps, transfer pumps, bulk storage tanks, demineralized tanks, retention basin facilities, instrument air compressors, piping and electrical systems.
e) Conduct pre-job discussions before start of the equipment maintenance activities.

f) Conduct in-house training to Laboratory Technicians for water treatment plant operation.
g) Collect data required to make improvements and modifications on WTP.
h) Initiate purchase of chemicals for water treatment equipment.
i) Investigate and troubleshoot water treatment plant and waste water treatment system/process problems.

j) Preparation of management reports related to water treatment plant equipment operation & maintenance activities.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB:
 Bachelor of Science in Chemical and process Engineering or relevant Field from a recognized University/Institution
 Must have work experience in large water treatment plant equipment.

POSITION :TECHNICIAN - BOILER OPERATOR (2 POSTS)

REPORTS TO :MECHANICAL ENGINEER REPORTING OFFICE
WORK STATION :KINYEREZI GAS PLANT II

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for supervision of plant heating systems operations i.e. heat recovery steam generators/boilers and water bath heaters for gas pressure reduction station with special responsibility for minor maintenance of equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Operate and maintain plant heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) and its controls.
b) Conduct general operations of Condensate extraction pumps, water feed pumps, motor operated valves, safety valves, relief valves, HP, LP steam drums, Blowdown tanks, blowdown coolers, assorted steam pipe works and its lagging, Steam pressures and temperature gauges.
c) A Continuous Liaise with plant chemical and process engineer to make sure demineralized water supply from water treatment plant to heat recovery steam generators are within the recommended specifications.
d) Maintain a constant awareness of TANESCO’s healthy and safety policy.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB:
 Ordinary Diploma/Certificate in Boiler operations from recognized institution.
 At least three (3) years’ work experience in operations of steam Boilers.

POSITION : TECHNICIAN - REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITION - 1 POST
REPORTS TO : MECHANICAL ENGINEER
REPORTING OFFICE : KINYEREZI GAS PLANT II

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for installation, repair, operation, and maintenance of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (AC) equipment/ systems at various buildings of the Plant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Initiate the requisition for materials required for the optimum operation of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment.
b) Trouble-shoot Air Conditioning equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems and perform maintenance on Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment to ensure optimum operation of the system at the plant.
c) Manage the safety of the Air Conditioning in Plant rooms and workshops by Carrying out preventive maintenance of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment systems.

d) Make minor installation decisions and perform regular cleaning of the equipment
e) Analyses cost for the replacement of any equipment in your area of expertise
f) Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized, time expended and type of work performed and Collect data for reports.
g) Maintain a constant awareness of TANESCO’s healthy and safety policy.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB:
 Diploma in Refrigeration & Air conditioning or equivalent qualifications from reputable Institution.
 At least three (3) years with experience in Heavy Central Air Conditioning Plant.

POSITION : LABORATORY TECHNICIANS - 4 POSTS

REPORTS TO : CHEMICAL AND PROCESS ENGINEER

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Roles and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for all the technical issues that will be raised within the grid after installation such as:
• Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution system (like internal and external wiring connections) and associated electrical equipment.
• Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
• Inspect and test electrical components, such as smart meters and circuit breakers and do replacement accordingly when required.
• Replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
• Ordering, receiving of materials, completing work orders and recording materials utilized on jobs
• Connection to new customers by installing meters, Poles and internal wirering.
• Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
• Record all technical project delays that might be caused by developer or contractor for records
• Follow state and local building regulations based on the current National Electric Code
• Maintain all electrical generation unit such as cleaning the PV/ Batteries installation, Generator maintenance and furthermore

Design and manage electrical systems in office building of the Branch and team offices in order to ensure safety and energy saving.
Monitor, direct, check, and supervise the construction and development of network infrastructure of partners to ensure the quality and progress of telecommunications work
Make as-built documents, payment and settlement of telecommunications work
To support technical staffs in branches to solve all technical problems like generator break down, electrical problem.
Understanding ME knowledge and training to all technical staffs in branch.
Ensure good cooperation with branches to solve problem in order to improve quality of ME systems.

Qualification:


• Applicant should be a holder of Grade II Level ill 1 FTC 1 Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Key skills & Abilities: Ability to maintain all the electrical equipment to acceptable and approved standards for efficient operation, and to ensure the smooth running of the Line and Service equipment by close communication with other staff
• Ability to operate the machines as directed and to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently as required and kept clean as required.
• Ability to ensure the correct electrical functioning of all electrically operated machines on the premises.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Self-motivated and flexible person and a good team player

Experience: One year or above in Mechanical/Electrical field
