Job Description

The role
The External Affairs expert is a senior member of CCBRT’s External Alliances Team, that works towards a vision of a sustainable CCBRT that ensures accessible services and partners strategically for amplified impact by leading resource mobilisation, partnership building and programme development.

The External Affairs Expert identifies and builds relationships with relevant partners for financial and technical support. Establishes and maintains relationships with key contacts in strategic partner organisations and develops ideas and programmes for formal collaboration in line with CCBRT’s overall vision and mission.

The expert also manages contracts as key contact person and monitors the implementation of grant awards and works with relevant internal/external stakeholders to ensure compliance, programmatic and financial information is up-to-date, variances are identified and recommendations for action made. In addition the expert contributes to process improvements and effective work planning of the team in order to improve operational efficiencies and quality of work.

The candidate
    Degree in international relations, development, business administration or in a field related to CCBRT’s core service areas with at least 7 years relevant experience (incl. 3 years in resource mobilisation & grant management)
    Demonstrable understanding of issues related to development, preferably specific to Tanzania and CCBRT’s core service areas
    Prior experience and familiarity with major donor agencies’ regulations, procedures and requirements
    Proven ability to analyse and systematically compile/review technical, financial and statistical information and to prepare reports and correspondence
    Capacity to conceptualise programme interventions and develop new initiatives
    Talent to work with multiple stakeholders (internal/external)
    Able to communicate complex issues in a concise, accessible and engaging way (English)
    Highly proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    Strong organisation and time management skills
    Excellent interpersonal skills

Job Description

The role:
Provide quality physiotherapy services to CCBRT clients according to the existing guidelines, Supervise, train and assist the community workers (LSTs) in recognizing disability aspects, Refer and provide education to the Support Unit clients. Participate and actively engage in team meetings, Collaborate closely with the other physiotherapist of CCBRT and Execute tasks for the team.


Organize instruction groups and group interventions for specific clients (type of pathology), Order measure and assist to fit appropriate assistive devices for the clients, participate in the preparation of periodical performance reports, identify the request for service for equipment/tools/machinery used for physiotherapy treatment, Prepare and execute an individual rehabilitation plan with goals and Interventions, Refer clients to other services within CCBRT if available to help achieve maximum positive outcome.

Establish cooperation and maintain good communication with other existing rehabilitative services, schools, hospitals, dispensaries, Organize and conduct training courses for in house training. Organize and conduct Parent Carer Training (PCT) courses for parents of children with disabilities, carry out administrative tasks to ensure PCTs run smoothly, monitor and assess progress of clients at SU in conjunction with training and give appropriate assistance to the LSTs, Provide Primary Health Care (PHC) when no proper services are available.

The candidate:
    Diploma of Physiotherapy or Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapist
    Ability to use computer
    Presentation skills
    Able to use electrotherapy machine
    Minimum of 2 years of experience as physiotherapist
    Specific trained will be added value ( Cerebral Palsy Management, Back pain management, Pre and post operation techniques for total hip and total knee replacement)

Job Description

The role

Provide quality service delivery to a wide range of CCBRT patients for chronic disorders, such as (but not limited to) hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, problems of the lungs, brain, kidney, and gastrointestinal tract in both CCBRT’s outpatient clinics and in-patient wards.

Ensure cost efficient delivery of quality health services at CCBRT and ensuring guidelines/standard operating procedure/policies pertaining to patient care are followed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of health professionals to provide excellent patient care.

Ensure quality of medical and other administrative data (such as log books , patients files etc) and actively participate in CCBRT patient data management system and contribute to other CCBRT reporting requirements. Contribute to the learning & research culture at CCBRT.

The candidate
    Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine, trained at a recognized institution with at least 5 years of experience
    Proven ability to perform all medical and invasive procedures relevant for the area of practice
    Registered with the Tanganyika Medical council as Specialist in Internal Medicine.
    Critical thinking and methodological approach to problem solving and decision making
    Effective counseling skills
    Excellent communication skills; Proficient in English and Swahili
    Computer literate
    Ability to work effectively with in a team
    Ability to set clear standards for performance
