Risk And Compliance Manager Job


Management of Risk in China Commercial Bank and ensuring risk management and compliance matrix and monitoring framework and structures are in place.

Job responsibilities
• Oversee the enterprise wide risk faced by the bank through development of risk management strategies and structures and recommendations of best practice in risk management.

• Monitoring and laying in place procedures which allow for compliance within relevant regulatory and legal requirements.

• Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment, and taking appropriate action.

• Developing and overseeing the systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes which apply to banking and financial institutions conclusively, to be in compliance with legal and statutory requirements.

• Manage risks by ensuring Identification, Measurement, Monitoring and Control.

• Develop risk management and compliance structures, prepare risk management framework document and ensure implementation.

• Re-enforce risk culture and strengthen risk management by creating Human Resources Department For Internal Use Only awareness and training of staff.

• Ensure risk reporting by branches and head office departments.

• Review and make analysis of risk reports for incorporation into final departmental reporting • Risk assessment of new products

• Oversee compliance and ensure compliance with internal procedures and policies.

• Facilitate staff compliance training.

• Prepare new procedures and update existing bank procedures.

• BCP Management preparation of BCP Document, training and ensuring implementation of the BCP procedures.

• Review of the departmental work and general supervision of all staff in the department

• Management of user profiles on the core banking system.

• Identifying and assessing potential compliance issues.

• Performing a monitoring and reporting role on compliance

• Reporting incidents of non-compliance and ensuring that these are regularized in a timely manner.

• Liaising with BOT and other regulators on compliance issues.

• Implementation of compliance issues in the risk and compliance framework

• Implementation, follow up and review of compliance assessment checklists and reports covering identified risks.

• Review of new procedures for adequacy of compliance risk management and ensure preparation and update of the Bank’s procedures and processes.

• Prepare quarterly compliance reports for the Board.

Key competences
• Degree/ Masters in Business Administration, Finance, Accounts, Banking or business related field.

• Three years working experience in Risk and compliance or audit department Human Resources Department For Internal Use Only

• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA will be an added advantage.
